Jane Summers-Eve is a Melbourne based costume maker and designer specialising in latex and corsetry.
Her work has appeared on stage and screen, and is also appreciated by a select private clientele. She has worked for major arts companies including Opera Queensland, Opera Australia, The Australian Ballet, Circus Oz and Chunky Move. Her costumes have also featured in Showtime’s Satisfaction, the opening ceremony of the 2006 Commonwealth Games,Anne Rice's Queen of the Damned and the 2002 film version of Ned Kelly.
Most recently she has been working on costumes for the forthcoming miniseries Pacific and the latest series of Satisfaction.
Jane’s distinctive costumes often feature clean lines in cutting-edge designs. She enjoys creating classic feminine looks in unconventional fabrics. Her meticulous finishes are particularly appreciated by her clients. With unparalleled experience in latex patternmaking and construction, Jane offers a unique service.
Having previously worked in the fashion industry, designing both couture and prêt-a-porter ranges, Jane moved into costume design and manufacture more than a decade ago. She enjoys the opportunity this gives her to develop a client’s vision into a finished creation.
